  • 1893 - Engineer Manuel, surveyor Luyster, hired by TID

  • 1902 - Manuel & Luyster moved to Turlock

  • 1903 - First Sabbath School in Luyster home, nine members

  • 1906 - Elder Basney Tent Meeting, Swedes joined

  • 1906 - First church, 13 members met in Brethren Church

  • 1908 - Built Church at Palm & Wolf

  • 1908 - First Church School at Calhoun Home

  • 1909 - Dorcas formed and met in homes for years

  • 1910 - Church School on Cooper farm, 24 students, leadership of Baldwin & Cooper

  • 1910 - E.G. White visited Turlock Church

  • 1910 - Elder A. Johnson; added 26 Swedish members

  • 1920 - Church built at Columbia and Orange, paid by 1933

  • 1940 - Elder Westcott; added Portuguese members

  • 1947 - Church fire in December, rebuilt in 1949, office added for Dorcas & Youth, basement for Sabbath School

  • 1947 - Turlock Medical Clinic Incorporated

  • 1948 - School moved to Minnesota Avenue.

  • 1949 - Quonset hut from army to build a gym and auditorium

  • 1953 - 50-Year celebration of Sabbath School

  • 1954 - Folkenberg effort, 30 new members

  • 1956 - Dorcas moved to 105 South Avenue

  • 1964 - Fundraising for a new sanctuary. Building led by Elder Aaron Wagner, Dr. Olavi Rouhe & Elder CV Anderson

  • 1966 - Stanley Harris effort, added 90 new members

  • 1968 - New church and Youth Chapel occupied at North Olive

  • 1972 - Church dedicated

  • 1974 - Two wings added to Youth Chapel in memory of Mark Truitt and Steve Waldorf

  • 1979 - Pastor Oliver Stimpson and wife to Pitcairn Island

  • 1980 - Pastors Burton Maxwell and John Bridges; health outreach, Turlock Trek

  • 1982 - Pastor David Neidigh and Connley Hartman; Sperling gift

  • 1988 - Pastors Glenn Sayers and Hartman; small groups; Tuesday family night; gym rebuilt

  • 1996-2006 - Pastor Rick Casebier and wife, Peggy, marked change in activities with a Ministries Committee; prayer and grace emphasis, and general accepting atmosphere; many new young families. Church refurbished in 1998.

  • 2007-2015 - Pastor Antonio Cano and wife, Melanie. 2012 mayan calendar prophecy seminar.

  • 2015-present: Pastor Matthew Kirk, wife Mari, and daughter Molly were welcomed into our church on 6/13/2015. Matthew Kirk Ordained at Turlock Seventh-day Adventist Church on 9/24/2016.
